womVegas Update :: Press Release

Press Release :: WomVegas.com Starts Upgrade Testing

by Phil S
June 11, 2010

Congrats to my friend Timothy L. Drobnick Sr. for taking in his first dollar at WomVegas today. Frame it and pin it on your wall. Much success, buddy.

WomVegas.com has not launched yet, but Tim has allowed a few selected participating members to officially upgrade, in order to make certain the software is working correctly for commissions, payments, and processing. Some of the members who upgraded have already been paid commissions on their referrals who also upgraded.

It was over a year ago that Tim Drobnick and I were brain-storming about ways to take his "virtual convention center" concept, which he already had in one of his other websites, and build a website around it. It was over nine months ago that he was talking to me about building a social network similar to WomVegas. There were a dozen names for the website before WomVegas, but the core plan for the website was the same. (Obviously, the Vegas theme sounded good to me.)

I encouraged Tim to keep everything under wraps until it was all ready to go, but Tim wanted to have 100 or so people using the website while he started building it on April 24, because it would make it easier for him to find the glitches and bugs. People who knew Tim started asking him if they could be in on it. He kept on adding them one by one, until he either had to tell everyone "no", or just let everyone sign up for free.

Since April 24, Tim has been very blessed with many wonderful people who have been very helpful (some of them in more politically correct ways than others). On April 24, Tim was confident that it would not take him more than two weeks to get the website into good enough shape to start taking in money, and allowing affiliates to start making money. But the more people signed up, the harder it was for him to get the work done. And, with all the good suggestions and harsh criticisms and helpful suggestions and feedback, Tim has had to change little details many times over, and making it more time-consuming for him to work on bugs and glitches.

With over 4000 members signed up now, the pressure for Tim to "get it right" is even greater than it would have been if there were only a few hundred members. Tim has to be very careful not to let go of the wagon while pushing it up the hill. As I have been telling folks for the past six weeks, most website founders would have started taking money in weeks ago, and then worried about making it good for the affiliates after they got their money in the bank. Tim has lost many thousands of dollars by concentrating on getting rid of bugs and making things work right before collecting any money. But Tim is very conscientious of trying to build something that marketing people and affiliates and customers can use to get more than their money's worth.

People may criticize Tim for all the delays on WomVegas, and for not getting it finished as soon as he originally planned, but since this is not designed to be a flash-in-the-pan get-rich-scheme, Tim felt it was better to have critics and scoffers, than risk not doing it right.

I have known Tim Drobnick for over two decades, and he has always wanted to come up with ways to make it possible for somebody who is a little person from a small town with no connections and no financial backing (which is how Tim and I started) to have a way to become extremely successful financially, and be able to be rewarded for hard work, honesty, and good ethics. Many times, as his friend, I am constantly reminding Tim that he can't give away too much of his own potential profits in order to try and help out others. (I usually lose that argument.)

To all of you who are members in WomVegas, free or upgraded, you are in the right place at the right time, but more importantly, you are associated with the right person, Timothy L. Drobnick Sr.

There are three types of people:

1. Those who make things happen.
2. Those who watch things happen.
3. Those who never knew anything happened.
